What we collect

Information you give us. When you use our quote or contact form, apply for the Pilot Program, or email, call or WhatsApp us, we collect what you provide. This can include your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, property name and type, number of rooms or units, the type of inquiry and your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting servers record basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site secure and working properly.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your inquiry and prepare quotes, pilot proposals and orders
  • To manage our relationship with your property, including delivery, warranty claims and after-sales support
  • To keep records of our business dealings as required by law
  • To send you product or pricing updates, only where you have agreed or where it relates to an existing business relationship. You can opt out at any time.

We use your information on the basis of your consent, to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform a contract, to meet legal obligations, or for our legitimate business interests in running and improving our business.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:

  • Zoho, our customer relationship management (CRM) and email provider, where form inquiries are stored as sales leads
  • Google, for website analytics (see Cookies and analytics below)
  • Our website hosting and website software providers (including WordPress and Elementor services used to operate the site and deliver form emails)
  • Our manufacturer, logistics and delivery partners, where needed to fulfil an order or warranty claim
  • Our professional advisers, or authorities where the law requires it

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Barbados. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected to an appropriate standard.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of cookies and browser storage that are needed for it to work, for example to remember your language choice or accessibility settings.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors found us and whether a quote request was sent. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited. We use this only in aggregate to improve our website and marketing, not to identify you. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out using Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser.

If we add advertising tools (such as Meta/Facebook), we will update this policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work as intended.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and customer records for as long as our business relationship continues and afterwards for as long as required for legal, tax, accounting and warranty purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our website and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • ask us to delete your information, or to restrict how we use it
  • object to our use of your information, including for direct marketing
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To make a request, email info@comfortsleepdistribution.com. We may need to confirm your identity before responding. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can contact the Data Protection Commissioner of Barbados.

Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
